At altaBuilt we are proud of our Master Builders Green Living accreditation and are committed to incorporating up-to-date sustainability options in our construction projects. Our ultimate goal is to minimise adverse ecological impacts of housing and maximise sustainability. To achieve this we offer environmentally friendly options at every step of the building cycle to reduce energy use and greenhouse emissions and minimise water use. We also apply the principle of reduce first, then reuse, then recycle to minimise the volume and impact of waste materials. 

In addition to the personal satisfaction of reducing our environmental impact, the benefits of a sustainability focus include 

• Lower energy and water bills
• Longer lasting, more durable housing
• A healthier, more comfortable living environment
• Potential for improved financing options. Selected banks are now offering 'Green Mortgages' with lower interest rates based on the assumption that lower household bills will make it easier for mortgage holders to meet repayments.
• Potential for improved resale value. The ACT have mandatory disclosure of sustainability performance at point of sale. This is likely to be introduced in all states.
